Currently our map tool is capable of creating images that fit roughly within a 24" X 24" file when generated at a resolution of 300dpi. It is possible to generate files larger than that but they can corrupt when saving to the API so will allow you to download the file but will not successfully be able to store it with your other maps.
300dpi is a very high resolution for images at that size and it works well to double the size of the file and halve the resolution in photoshop without seeing any quality loss on the final engrave.
When creating large wall pieces - it's beneficial to generate the file with the aspect ratio that you need but at smaller dimensions than the final piece.
For example
To make a 24"x12" wall piece with a 2:1 aspect ratio - we could set the dimensions in the map software at 18" x 9" and then scale up to the final dimension in the laser software - this also has the added benefit of zooming in a bit and making it easier to read place names at a but more of a distance.
We can accommodate requests to generate larger sizes too.
