What file format is my map download?

Modified on Sat, 14 Jan 2023 at 08:26 PM

Currently files are downloaded as a 300dpi PNG file.

This is a single layer file and does not need to be converted to svg or traced to be able to get a high quality engraving from.

Once you have downloaded your map you should be able to import the png directly into your laser engraving software like Lightburn or Visicut and run your engrave.

Please note that you cannot use this file for cutting with the laser as it is not vector.

We are working on providing a feature to also include vector files of the roads, water and land to be able to create combined cut and engraved 3D maps.
